Driving to Boothbay Harbor shouldn't be too tricky! Your phone's directions will get you here just fine. Depending on your preference, remember to turn on (or off) toll routes. If you're crossing the border, leave some extra time to get across.
There are toll roads throughout Maine and surrounding states. Some toll roads accept cash, while some are cashless and require a transponder (ie. E-ZPass) or payment using an alternative method. If you are renting a car, the rental company can help you figure out what you'll need ahead of time. If you are taking your own vehicle, there are other ways to pay for cashless tolls, depending on the state (online, by phone, by mail).

Parking in Boothbay Harbor can sometimes be tricky. If you are staying a hotel/AirBnB nearby, check to see if they will have space for you to park.Â
If you have requested one, assigned parking spots in the harbor may be found on the 'parking' page.
Important note for our Canadian guests: Please double-check that your passport (or Nexus card) and driver's license aren't going to expire before or during the wedding weekend!
Though some of you may have crossed into the USA many times, other guests may be doing so for the first time. It isn't difficult to clear customs, but just in case you're a little rusty, make sure to:
Prepare any documents/information you might need in advance in case the border agent asks for it - passport(s), drivers license(s), valid car registration & insurance, hotel/AirBnB address, car rental information, flight itinerary, copies of any prescriptions, etc.
Don't bring any prohibited items, prohibited fruits & vegetables, or prohibited meat, dairy or eggs.
Know what you are bringing across (especially food & alcohol) and declare it when asked.
If you have any questions or hesitations about crossing the border, please shoot us a message!
